Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Can Do Kids Academy is run by me, Lisa Carter (ABN 31 581 236 206), in New South Wales, Australia. I respect your privacy, and I only collect the information I need to run this website and deliver your resources. This policy explains what I collect, why, and what you can do about it. I aim to follow the Australian Privacy Principles.

What I collect

When you place an order or create an account (including for free resources), I collect:

  • your first and last name
  • your email address
  • your country
  • your order details (what you downloaded or bought, when, and the price)
  • whether you ticked the box to receive emails from me

When you email me, I keep your email and my reply so I can help you.

When you visit the website, some information is collected automatically, such as your IP address, the type of device and browser you use, the pages you visit and how you found my website (for example from Facebook or a Google search). This is collected by the tools listed below and helps me understand which resources teachers find useful.

I do not collect your postal address or phone number, and I never see or store your full card details.

How I use your information

  • to deliver your resources and keep them available in your account
  • to send you order confirmations and reply to your questions
  • to send you occasional emails about new resources, only if you ticked the box to say yes. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email me at any time.
  • to understand how my website is used so I can improve it
  • to keep records I am required to keep by law, such as for tax

I will never sell or rent your information to anyone.

Who helps me run the website

I use a small number of trusted services to run my website. They only receive the information they need to do their job:

  • SiteGround: hosts my website and stores order and account details
  • Stripe (through WooPayments) and PayPal: process card and PayPal payments
  • Google Analytics: tells me how many people visit and which pages they view
  • Jetpack (by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com): website statistics and security
  • Gmail (by Google): my email account

Some of these companies store information outside Australia, including in the United States. Each has its own privacy policy and security measures.

Cookies

Cookies are small files saved by your web browser. My website uses them to keep items in your cart, keep you logged in to your account, process payments securely and measure visits through Google Analytics and Jetpack. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you choose which optional cookies to allow. You can change your choice at any time, or block cookies in your browser settings (although parts of the website, such as the cart, may not work without them).

I do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Keeping your information safe

My website uses a secure (https) connection, and payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal rather than stored on my website. I keep order records for as long as I need them to provide your downloads and to meet my legal obligations (Australian tax records are generally kept for five years). If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, I will let you know as soon as possible.

Your choices

  • You can see and update your name and email address by logging in to My Account.
  • You can ask me for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete your account. (If you delete your account, you will no longer be able to re-download your resources.)
  • You can unsubscribe from my emails at any time.

Children

My website and resources are for teachers, tutors and parents. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given me their details, please contact me and I will delete them.

Questions or complaints

If you have a question or concern about your privacy, please email me at candokidstutoring@gmail.com. I will reply as soon as I can, usually within a few days. If you are not happy with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy if the way I run my website changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
